ABOUT THE ARTIST:

I'm Adrianna Nicole, or ADGE. I'm not exactly sure how this path carved it's way into my intersection, but I am forever perplexed and honored to have the realizations to which I owe my progress. I've been fortunate enough to grow up in a family who had creative talents on both sides, and a family that always encouraged my artistic side. I have always felt a push to use my voice, whether for music or ideas.

I suppose I've always been drawn to independence, and that drove me into learning guitar so that I could play and sing my songs at the same time. I started out as a cover artist but began trying to write my own songs. As I hit a brick wall when coming to construction, I decided to pursue self education on music theory. If I can do it with guitar and piano, why not theory?

With enough persistence the lines began to fall into order, I tend to learn in a fashion by which some would define as a "polymathic" style. Everything is numbers to me, or relations at least. I've always loved mathematics and when I began to study music theory in relation to math and ratios it all began to make sense. Then that helped me heal my artist block in painting with color ratios and contrast, perspective etc.

It would be absolutely ludicrous to not acknowledge the influences by which have fed me inspiration. I had an interruption, or intervention in my path of life and coincidentally found myself in communion with the plants. Plant medicines and self work are at the heart of the foundation that is my gratitude represented through art. Nature is alive, and full of data, we are just remembering how to listen and see what our bodies were originally evolved to receive.
